About the mission

Reporting directly to the CEO, you will be leading our Engineering team, which is today about 60 strong, roughly split between a Merchant tribe, a Consumer tribe and a Platform team. Concretely, you will:

• Manage the Engineering team and ensure that everyone operates at the right level of performance
• Make sure Alma is a place where engineers and engineering managers continuously learn and grow
• Make sure that we have the resources (both in terms of team and tools) to meet our short-term and long-term goals, and ensuring these resources are efficiently allocated
• Be responsible for the ongoing delivery of new products and features, and production stability
• Collaborate closely with product and business leaders across the company
• Drive Alma’s technical vision and oversee the key technical decisions
• Represent Alma externally in particular during industry events, meetups and with investors, making sure Alma is seen as a leading technology company

• Not necessary but a strong plus: prior experience in a high-growth startup - Alma is a fast-paced and demanding environment!
