Background
Energy, from production and consumption to storage, is one of the major challenges of the 21st century. To deal with climate change, biodiversity loss and ensure social fairness, we must provide new solutions. Mainly we need to produce and consume energy in a more responsible, efficient and low-carbon way.
Our Mission
We are building an innovative platform that empowers the widespread adoption of renewable energies and encourages citizens to take charge of their energy consumption. To pave the way for a cleaner and greener future, we harness the flexibilities of energy-hungry equipments to improve electricity consumption and reduce dependence on fossil fuels during peak times.
As part of our team, your responsibility will be to build a DER (distributed energy resources) management platform. Through our platform, we enable the dynamic control of the electricity consumption of HVAC, Heat Pump, Smart Thermostat, EV charging.
Our platform‘s primary objective is to facilitate demand response on a massive scale, harnessing the power of millions of behind-the-meter devices.
Job Description
From large and complex datasets mixing time series and censored data to optimal planning and online learning, the challenges are numerous. We are working in a recent field, where standards still need to be defined.
As a Data Scientist you will participate in:
The collection, cleaning and analysis of large datasets
The development of machine learning algorithms in the electricity industry
The development of api-based web services to deliver algorithms' output
The study of best-practice in machine learning implementation as well as staying up-to-date with the last developments in academic research
The discussion and choices with our clients to better understand their needs and develop a coherent platform
Your Skills
PhD, in Math, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering
You master one (or more) programming languages. For us it's python
You master one (or more) cloud tools: OVH, GCP, AWS, Azure, etc…
You must know the theory being the algorithms you use...
You must like math as much as you like delivering predictions in a production environment !
Autonomous, able to move forward alone and present new ideas
Curious, always looking for news techniques and research papers on topics you love
Passionate about energy and climate issues
